Incomplete rename files

Each time I reappoint pictures (minimum about twenty) there always remain 2 pictures which do not change. The name appears changed in Gallery Mage but not in the explorer windows. Has it there a manner of resolving this problem?

Does a file of the same name already exist? What are the names of the files with an error?

If you rename files once, you won't be able to re-name them again using the same name (because files will already exist and it will abort). Try renaming them to something totally different - e.g. "Test", then rename them back to what you really want them to be.

As always, back up your files before doing this.

Hope that helps. If it still doesn't work, if you like, you can upload a ZIP of the gallery, and I could run it on my computer and see if I can spot the problem.

Each file exist only once. The pictures come from my numerical camera (with a single name) and I remane with numbers :
"seance_01_" + 3 digits.
I work with a bachup of my files and after the rename dialog, all files in Gallery Mage changed name but always one or two files, in windows explorer, didn't change name.

That is very strange. The only thing I can think of is maybe windows is preventing them from being renamed (if they are "in use").

Feel free to give me a small test case (a sample of files that won't rename correctly) and I can try to investigate further.
